Masculine Scents: List of Essential Oils and Their Qualities

Certain essential oils radiate masculinity. They can help you feel deeper into your own masculinity, as well as magnetize the feminine.

In this article, we will be exploring what essential oils are masculine and feminine. I’ll also be sharing a list of ten essential oils with masculine qualities and blends you can use to embody masculinity.

Quality of Masculine and Feminine Scents

In general, masculine essential oils have quality of earthy, dense, and musky. While Feminine scents are generally airy, light, and floral. Many men do prefer masculine scents, but they aren’t limited to it. A man can like floral aromas as much as a woman likes a musty pine scent.

I created an online poll with data from over 500 people from my HeroRise Instagram and the aromatherapy Facebook group to make a list of quality that makes a scent masculine or feminine. From this information, I found lots of commonalities of what qualities Masculine and feminine scents had.

If you want to know if an essential oil is masculine or not, take a smell and try to pick out the qualities of the scent. If it is earth and reminds you of the forest, then it’s a great Masculine oil.

Aromatic preferences are subjective.

If you are a man you aren’t restricted to Masculine scents. Your biological gender is not the only thing that defines your personal taste.

Picking a scent to wear is about expressing what you are feeling and what you want to invite in your life. Sometimes it feels great to break out your norm and wear something floral or uplifting.

You can also mix and match these types of scents to create something unique. Like a musky masculine scent with a touch of citrus (feminine) to make a scent that better fits your mood/personality.

Knowing what scents are viewed as masculine and feminine can help you better pick an oil that is right for you.

Mascuilne Essential Oils Support Testosterone

Naturally, men have different body odors from women. Women tend to smell sweeter with notes of vanilla and honey, while men have more a masculine odor, augmented by earthy base notes.

Perfume, or any other scent you wear, will react differently depending on your natural body odor.

If you are thinking of using an essential oil, it’s helpful to accent your natural base. If you add a light floral smell to your darker body order, it will not make as pleasant of a bouquet.

Most men have a Musky and darker smell due to their testosterone and natural pheromones. So wearing masculine scents that are also dark and earthy will accentuate their body order in a good way.

When you are thinking of wearing an essential oil, think of your natural scent first. Some men have a sweeter scent, and other women can naturally smell more masculine.

There are also studies showing certain Essential oils increase testosterone levels.

Essential Oil Blends and DIY Cologne

Essential Oils work great on their own, but a proper mix can make them even more alluring. After mixing essential oils for a decade, here are my two favorite recipes that have a strong masculine quality.

Liquid Courage Cologne: This is a confident, sexy scent that will have you feeling invincible. It has spicy notes from the cardamom and nutmeg essential oils, with bergamot opening it up to be fresh and welcoming. Patchouli rounds out this blend as an earthy counter-balance to all of those top notes.

  • 10 drops bergamot essential oil
  • 3 drops cardamom essential oil
  • 5 drops sandalwood essential oil
  • 3 drops Patchouli essential oil

Misty Woods: This is a spicy and woodsy blend. It also contains sandalwood essential oil that offers warmth to the scent. Vanilla provides floral top notes, so it’s not just masculine but a balanced blend.

  • 5 drops sandalwood essential oil
  • 1 drops vanilla essential oil
  • 3 drops nutmeg essential oil
  • 1 drop vetiver essential oil
  • 5 drops Rosewood essential oil

In these blends, you will notice that they aren’t just masculine fragrances. The reason why is it’s good to balance out dark and musky scents with a high note. It gives it more life and vitality.

This could perhaps be a metaphor for the complexity of masculinity and femininity and how they blend together.

In Conclusion:

Essential Oils can be used to accentuate your natural smell and radiate your masculinity. The scents send out subtle signals to the world around you. I also like to use essential oils when meditating on my masculinity or when I want to boost my masculine confidence.
