Decks are finally arriving

✨ I am excited to announce that the Masculine Archetype Decks are starting to ship for the first round of presales! ✨

In March I launched the HeroRise Kickstarter. The crowdfunding helped give me the assets to do the first print run of the HeroRise Masculine Archetype Deck. There were some production bumps along the way, but the decks are finally arriving.

I will be shipping out all the Kickstarter decks first. A few weeks later I will be shipping out all the Pre-Orders and Indigogo decks. Here is a quick update on the shipping process and our dedication to sustainability.

International shipping (for those outside North and South America) has begun. They are being sent directly from the manufacturer and will be coming your way soon.

How long it takes will depend on the distance, customs of each country, and your local post office. That being said it should be anywhere between 2-4 weeks.

Orders in the USA and Canada will start mailing this weekend.  The decks were mailed my way and I have been looking at the tracking number to find out yesterday that they land at my warehouse this Friday! Canceled all my plans and will be working full days to mail these out to you.

For orders in the USA, it should be around 1-2 weeks for shipping. Canada and Mexico will be 1-3 weeks. So excited to share the deck!!!!

In the rest of this email, I wanted to share more about the steps I have taken to make this project as sustainable as I could, and how you can join in when your decks arrive.

Let’s talk Eco-Friendly Shipping and Recycling ♻️

While creating this deck, I thought it was important to try my best to make this project sustainable and eco-conscious.  That is why I changed printers (and in part caused some of these delays). The decks now use soy-based / eco-friendly ink from japan. The boxes for the decks are also made from recycled cardboard.

Another big part of sustainability is packaging and shipping.

Boy o boy does this get complicated.

Balancing the weight of the box, the materials, the ecological impact, pricing, and sustainability has been eye-opening for me. Luckily I have had a lot of help from a company called eco-enclosed.

After a lot of research, I have decided to use recycled bubble mailers and 100% recycled custom shipping boxes (for larger orders). I am also using Kraft Paper tape so the boxes will be fully recyclable.

In some rare cases for bigger orders, I will also be reusing boxes/packing materials that I have been collecting.  Reduce Recycle and Reuse.

But another big part of sustainability is what happens to the shipping packaging once it’s done.

Recycling the Bubble Mailers

One of the reasons I went with the bubble mailers is they are designed to be reused! They feature two tear strips and seal strips, so you can reuse them for returns or another shipment.

You can also recycle them in some cities, such as Los Angeles and Montreal.  Even if your city doesn’t take what’s called “Thin Film Plastic” you can almost always take them to a local grocery store for recycling (because many of those stores use shopping bags that are considered thin film and are required by law to accept them).

Find a nearby recycling location check out Earth911 or PlasticFilmRecycling.org.

Lastly… if you want you can reuse the bubble mailer to send it back with any other thin-film plastic to EcoEnclose for recycling.  They are an amazing company that will take care if of it for you. You can learn more at: https://www.ecoenclose.com/takeback

Recycling Cardboard Boxes

The boxes are made from recycled materials and can be recycled after being sent to you. Just put it in with your recycling.

Note: All decks will also be wrapped up in an extra bubble pouch for added protection.  The bubble wrap can be recycled the same as the bubble mailers.

International orders will not be packaged with EcoEnclosed bubble mailers. I had to leave those decisions up to the fulfillment center I am working with. Sadly I could not find a fulfillment center that specializes in eco-friendly packaging near the manufacturer.

Thank you so much for your patients with this Kickstarter. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience and annoying wait times.

So excited to have these decks in my hands in a few days and start shipping them out to you!✨
